Guest guest
I take 17.5 mg per week, injectable. Started about 8 weeks ago and have started to notice an improvement. Not gone but improved, I still need to take bursts of prednisone to get me through but I am trying not to. I take provigil for the nausea and fatigue. Big improvement. Mild hair loss but mostly if I don't stay on schedule with my folic acid. Eyes are very dry and burning. I have an appointment for my eyes 09/16/2005. Cassy I was doing really well on 35 mg prednisone but dr wants to put me on methotrexate intead. I looked it up on the internet and it sounds terrifying in terms of side effects. I had very mild side effects with prednisone and felt 45 again instead of 85. Is prednisone really that much more dangerous than methotrexate? I've had two doctors say the opposite things. I'm scared to death to start the methotrexate but since tapering down on the prednisone (now to 10 mg) I'm in horrible pain and so exhausted.
