Guest guest
Just had IEP & asked assistive tech people about the iphone app-proloquo2go The following is their honest opinion based on experiences so far: 1) Alot of bugs that need to be worked out 2) Will just shut down in middle of an activity-several times 3) Lower versatility than other apps/devices 4) Several school districts (including ours) will not allow cell phones or cell phone use at school Their take is that because it will just shut down in the middle of an activity & the limits to programming, it would not be a good choice for use at school or for those that are at a level of use that requires more options AND ability to stay on.. Oh & they said that sound output is too low & that once speakers were added it would then make it as big or bigger than device he currently uses. So at this stage of this app's development, this is not a viable option for my DJ. Boohoo, I was all excited about the possibilities. O well.
