Guest guest
Hi Heidi, I called DSAW and they told me to contact you. is 2 years old, but cognitive newborn, and physically 5 months He also has Autism and Epilepsy. His seizures are for the most part controlled with keppra, and quite a large dose at that. However when he has breakthrough seizures he looses all muscle tone and his face literally smashes into the ground (this is while on his belly pushing up on his forearms) Or if he is in an exersaucer his face hit the plastic - we try to protect using blankets and boppy pillows. His therapist wants him in a helmet with a face guard That is my concern. He can barely lift his head as it is, how is he going to be able to lift it with a helmet on. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Where do you get a helmet and does Beckett help with the cost? Thank you so much
