Guest guest
<< had a head tilt. The eye Dr said he had fourth nerve palsy, did surgery to correct it, and then his head tilted the other way...so she had to do the 4th nerve surgery on the other eye and now there's not a tilt. . >>> Oh, I'm interested in hearing more about this! Kayla has a head tilt, which we are pretty sure is due to vision. We assumed it was because of her strabismus. She got glasses, her strabismus is gone, but she still has the head tilt. I love her ophthalmologist. She works with the multiply disabled so Kayla isn't even a challenge for her, LOL. If anyone is in Westchester/Hudson Valley NY area, go see Dr. Rush. She rocks! Guest guest
Um, well, the eye Dr was trying and trying to figure out why the head tilt. Finally, one visit, she saw his left eye drop--like vertical strabismus, when he tried to look from near to far. When she held his head straight, she was able to make the vertical misalignment happen by getting him to focus far away. So she corrected the 4th cranial nerve palsy (the nerve wasn't enervating certain muscles). Then at his next regular appt, his head tilted the other way and she said that the more severe eye had masked the problem in the less severe eye. Both surgeries were done when he had ear tubes placed, and one time he had the endoscope, too. Fun fun fun! Sent from my iPhone << had a head tilt.
