Guest guest
Sherry- I totally forgot about the opiate theory as well as leaky gut. I was just trying to figure out how to encourage families who are not/did not experience better health with it. But I think your post was right - if it isn't working for a family, that is okay. It has worked so well for us that I sometimes forget all the reasons folks do this diet. And I would be very curious about families who felt the diet worked and whether or not they ever tested for allergies, even the delayed kind. Isaac only tested for the delayed kind and yet if we give him Culver's root beer (Tony too!) they just go crazy. I'm not even sure why. Is it the high fructose corn syrup, the caramel coloring that has gluten? Regardless, we just put it in the forbidden food pile and everyone is happier. I guess I was just trying to see if there was a test families could do to determine whether it really would bring better health to their child. But again, I think the diet makes me more healthy and so far I haven't tested positive for anything. :-) LOL Lori Mom to Isaac 13, and Tony 11 and making the Mediterranean Chicken soup right now!
