that the " typical " appear to lack.

I'll start & ya'll add.

Thursday at dinner, my DJ was fine & suddenly jumped up & was gone awhile. I

checked, he appeared ok in bathroom. Did not finish eating. Even his beloved

yogurt. Mommy alert on. A bit later-from 7ish to 11ish was non stop barf & then

barf & diarrhea.

DJ has only thrown up once in his almost 15 years, so this terrified him. It

was so violent that the blood vessels broke in his eye & on his face.

The discovery later that he had also " pooped " in his pants distressed him.

It took me awhile to get it all choreographed.

When I did, he managed the bucket on his own the rare moments I was out of the

room.

Prior to my brain (plan) kicking in, I lost it verbally when pulling down his

sweatpants & poop literally sprayed the entire bathroom.

And he said. " It's all right, it's all right " .........

The poops stayed til Saturday. So no food & just small amounts of liquid &

pedialyte.

No complaining. No crying or demanding or whining or being grumpy.

On DJ's part.

Holding my hand in the wee hours & listing all of his favorite foods. Which made

me sad & feel mean!

Smiling like I gave him the winning lottery when he got a cracker.

No hassle when hosing him off yet again or yet again changing his bed.

Yuks gone by Sat & of course by that night Mom had collapsed (no sleep since

Thur will do that)

To be awakened at some point in that 40 hour coma- having my face stroked. By

my DJ-holding a bottle of water for me....

I guess I also caught the bug but not like he had (his was violent). I moaned &

I whined & I was grumpy. The stomach pain HURT!

I wish I were more like the DJs of the world.

Kris

PS: Ahem. In contrast: From spousal unit, " Do you know that you have been

asleep for 40 hours? "
