Guest guest
<< His usual routine was to enter the room, hang up his coat and take his book bag to his desk. That day he refused to take off his coat. Then, it went downhill from then on. He still refuses to take off his coat at school.>> Hi, Everyone....Judy....this is what really upsets me about some schools/teachers. If this is the *problem* then, all it is was a power struggle between authority and student. One of those 'you do as I say or else' situations instead of backing off and letting him get use to the new coat. Over time, he will hang it up like he did the other coat. I wouldn't go out and spend more $$$ on a coat --- let the teacher work on the proper behavior and flex a little. GEESH!!! I can pretty much bet that any 'normal' kid would do the same thing!!! What is the harm? I know.....well, if we let ny do it then we have to let some other kid do it. That's ridiculous!!! Take care, Everyone. Guest guest
I will say to this coat problem - I buy 2 at a time! Just because Elie is sooo inflexible when it come to clothes!! Then when the first wears out or the zipper breaks or he ruins it (usually because he CARRIES it and it gets caught and torn), I can replace it and then look for 2 new replacements - without it being an emergency!! Life is so much fun! > > > << His usual routine was to enter the room, hang up his coat and take his > book bag to his desk. That day he refused to take off his coat. Guest guest
Yes Ma'am...I hear you on this one. I bought shoes in several sizes so she'd have less problems with changing style...at least now she's stopped growing I can just buy in quantity without worrying about size.
