Guest guest
Ohhh, God Bless you , spinal taps can be very painful. I had one and I had what they called a spinal headache. Everytime I got up it felt like my head would explode. It is caused from a leak in the spinal cord where they did the tap. They took me back in and withdrew some blood and then used it to stop the leak, it is very precise and the doctor that did the spinal had to do the plugging of the leak. My thoughts and prayers are with you ... Better days ahead, in MO . __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Thanks, guys. I'm just hoping they get to the bottom of this soon. I'm getting rather annoyed with the headaches and tremors (which have come back with a vengeance in the past few days). I'm also getting double vision off and on, which is even more fun. June...I'm not being brave - this is the only way I know how to react to this. I do get scared (and depressed) sometimes, but you can't let it get to you. Remember, I could be a lot worse off (like dead...) I just consider this another chapter of my life, and a rather interesting one, at that. There is a plaque in a catalog I have that I wanted to get for work...now I want to get it for home. More for my husband than myself, I think, but it is simple...and words to live by. It just says " SUCK IT UP " ....and I LOVE it . I think that my husband's reaction to all of this hurts much more than the health problems, actually. I don't want pity, and I don't want to be doted on, but my husband has become increasingly selfish through all this, and that hurts. I'd like him to sit next to me and ask me how I'm doing once in awhile, instead of coming in the door, and telling me he's really tired of all the sickness in the house, and leaving (our daughter has a severe sinus infection, as well). Instead of making me feel better, and stronger, he seems to be trying to make me feel guilty about all this, and I don't appreciate it. I'd tell him where to go, but when I'm not feeling well I don't think straight all the time, and instead I get depressed and feel sorry for myself, which is the wrong thing to do, and then I get mad at myself. Only for a little bit, though...I then have to feel grateful for what I DO have, and I can't stay depressed too long. ...yeah, those spinal headaches really stink. I'm just not sure if this one is due to low pressure or high pressure, though. I had a slight headache immediately after the LP, but stayed down the rest of the day, and the next day I was fine. It wasn't until the end of the third day that this one hit, and boy, it has been a doozy. At first it was only if I stood. Now I've got it if I stand too long, or lay down flat. If I sit or lay propped, I'm fine. My eyes ache, now, too. As long as I'm sitting on the couch with my legs up, staring blankly at the tv, I'm fine . So, couch potato it is. Anyway, hope you guys all have a good three-day weekend. I'm going back onto the couch for a bit...my head is starting to try to blow off my head and into orbit. > Ohhh, God Bless you , spinal taps can be very > painful.
