Guest guest
Hi Tawny, Yes, the news is very depressing, isn't it? We looked around our home last night, and it is hard to imagine all the " stuff " we've got just...gone! And then to have absolutely nothing but yourself, nowhere to go, it just breaks my heart. Seeing the little babies is the worst, you know how I am about kids, I'd like to just take them all in. But at least we can pray, and sometimes that is the best thing for all of us, both on the outside and the inside. Unless they find something to shrink the tumors in my arm, I'm afraid surgery might be the only answer, but I'm waiting until I see the doc next month about my heart. She's a new doc for us, so no telling what she will want to do, wait and see or correct the problem now. I do sometimes have trouble breathing, but figured it was asthma/allergies. How is your daughter doing...things any better there? Prayers for you too, buddy! Judi Watching the hummingbirds outside

Guest guest
Judi, My heart goes out to the children too. There is a lot of donations coming in from different countries, and all over the US, just so amazing how we all stick together in crisis. I just hope that the government can place these people in their own homes soon. They need that comfort of home. That would be nice if they could give you something to shrink those tumors, will keep my fingers crossed. You just take it easy, until you get to your doctor. My daughter is doing alright. She is waiting for medicaid to kick in, so she can go to the doctor. She did go to the health dept, and they think she is about 15 weeks. She is doing alright though, she has so many cravings, and going crazy with that. She loves mexican and chinese food, so that goes on all the time, lol As for the stepdaughter(s), still in limbo, child welfare just says their investigating, so don't know anything there. The system is slow for sure. My hubby is down around LA, but not in the NO area, I told him to stay out of there, but that is like talking to a wall, lol:) You take care of yourself, and keep us posted. I know when you get quiet, your not feeling well, and I DO understand. Take care, and know your in my prayers, Tawny > Hi Tawny, > > Yes, the news is very depressing, isn't it? Guest guest
Tawny, I feel the same way you do. I'm just glued to the Fox channel watching the worse catastrophe. Every time they show helicopter shots of the houses, all I can think about is how many people are still trapped in their attics. Watching this sure makes my problems seem so insignificant. Sometimes I think we're better off burying our heads in the sand, but it does no good since I can't get the visions of those poor people out of my head. On a happier note, I just had a wonderful week with my daughter, so I haven't been online much either. It was great to spend an entire week with her all to myself. Next weekend we're flying back to NJ for my FIL's 85th birthday, so we'll be seeing all of our families. I'm trying to focus on happy events. Life is so precious. This disaster puts a lot of things in perspective. I hope you have a nice weekend. a On Sep 3, 2005, at 5:23 PM, tdianaok wrote: > Hey everyone, > Sorry I haven't been online much, just been depressed. Guest guest
If you can afford to donate some money, it is possible to do it easily online. I always choose the Red Cross, because they are reputable and reliable and always there to help out in tragedies like this. Guest guest
a, That is great news that you spent some time with your daughter! Wow, your going to have a fun time next weekend! That will be good to get away for a little bit. The gas situation is terrible. When you get 5 gallons of gas, and pay $15, something is wrong. But, its worse other places, so I guess were lucky here. I found gas for $2.97 a gallon today:( We need that prayer chain going strong right now. Have a good weekend, Tawny > > > Hey everyone, > > Sorry I haven't been online much, just been depressed. Guest guest
Yes, Red Cross will sure get it to the victims. In a situation like this, sometimes people will try to profit from this, which is so sad. > > > > My heart goes out to the children too. Guest guest
One thing about moving away from family is that we actually spend more time together now than we did when we lived next door. When we were neighbors, she'd pop in here and there, stay for a bite, and be on her way. Now I get to be with her for an entire week 27/7. Gas here is sporadic, ranging from 2.99 to 3.49 today. I hope they can do something to stabilize the prices and bring them down. I heard rumor that the EPA was overridden and our country will start drilling for oil here in our country as well as building more nuclear generators. Although I am an environmentalist, I completely agree that we need to stop our dependency on foreign oil. I hope it's true that the EPA was over ruled. The environmentalist were all doom and gloom over the Alaska pipeline and now it is very apparent that the wildlife is actually benefiting from it and there is no damage being done to the environment. I hope you are having a good weekend. Ours is quiet thank goodness. a On Sep 3, 2005, at 9:01 PM, tdianaok wrote: > a, > That is great news that you spent some time with your daughter!
