Guest guest
I find that strange myself. At Cook Children's Medical Center in Ft. Worth. They do a pregnancy test on any girl 10 or over when they are admitted. I was relieved as well to see that my 10 year old w/ DS and ASD was not pregnant! On the same note. My daughter will be 11 in May. She started developing breasts and pubic hair nearly a year ago. She still hasn't had a period yet. I'm thinking about doing the hormone implant that just needs to be done once a year. The first one will go in after she has had her first period and is supposed to keep her from having one for a whole year. Our doctor at the Cook's Down Syndrome Clinic suggested this. She even mentioned the possibility of a hysterectomy at some point. I seriously doubt we will go the hysterectomy route. Does anyone have any experience with the implant or the hysterectomy?
