If you feel comfortable with her PCP, then ask him for a trial dosage of an SSRI for OCD. Luvox and Lexapro work best for Gareth's OCD but you may have to try other meds. Once you start meds, if you don't like what you see, then you can stop them, but at least you tried. Like I have said before, make a chart before starting meds so that you can gauge the progress---give it 2-3 months. Gareth is 180# and takes 10 mg of Lexapro......a low dose but it helps so very much. <<before poor Margaret blows a gasket>> Sherry.....LOL....not me, I enjoy playing the devil's advocate!!!
