<<but I can tell you that the urgent need to curb her repetitive

behaviors and OCD behaviors-like

the need to underline every sentence/line in a book ie a phonebook that

keeps

her up at night and interferes with her ability to read while distracted

with this

compulsion would probably be higher on the list at this point than even

our need to curb her self-talking " alien " so we can spend more time in the

world outside our doors...and untimately so she can have an easier time

" fitting in " in her new middle school environment--->>

Hi, Everyone.....Desi....you don't have to go to KK to get meds for dual

dx'd kids if that is what you're looking for. If you feel comfortable with

her PCP, then ask him for a trial dosage of an SSRI for OCD. Luvox and

Lexapro work best for Gareth's OCD but you may have to try other meds. Once

you start meds, if you don't like what you see, then you can stop them, but

at least you tried. Like I have said before, make a chart before starting

meds so that you can gauge the progress---give it 2-3 months. Gareth is

180# and takes 10 mg of Lexapro......a low dose but it helps so very much.

<<before poor Margaret blows a gasket>>

Sherry.....LOL....not me, I enjoy playing the devil's advocate!!! Just

remember, there's always a flip side to every coin!!!

Take care, Everyone.

Margaret
