Guest guest Posted September 19, 2007 Report Share Posted September 19, 2007 Dear Ketan, The maximum allowable deflection in mm = L/900, Where L is the span in mm, Step 1 - Suspend a plumb from the center of the beam & take measurment to the floor reference at no load. say X mm Step 2- Lift the full load & measure from the plumb to floor refgerence say Y mm. I guess the same requirement was given in Gujarat Factories Rules 1963.
