Guest guest
Dear Friends, I would like to know if govt. of India or any state govt has banned the use of carbolic acid. Refer the discussion we had on snake prevention where use of carbolic acid was suggested as an effective way to curb the menace. However one of my colleague has informed me that use of carbolic acid is banned. Pls. confirm if you are aware of any such legislation. Guest guest
Dear Members, I have received lot of mails on use and availability of FORATE. I would like to share with you that FORATE is available at any agriculture shop. It is poisonous with some unique smell. While using one has to wear hand gloves and nose mask. One has to just sprinkle the FORATE at the areas where we suspect the snakes or where our people have to work. It should not be used in side the sheds or offices. The use of FORATE is strictly recommended in Open Storage Yards (L P G, Raw material, Scrap, etc). Don’t keep used bottle in closed cabin it is advisable that the bottle should be used at time and disposed in a safe manner. Make sure that the bottle is not being reused. I do not have the MSDS of FORATE if any one is having the same kindly forward it to me. In addition to this I would like to share that MIRA 71 is a good for controlling wild grass growth which is sprayed over wild grass with the help of agriculture spray. It has to mix with water before spraying. Before using any of the above please read the instructions carefully and follow the same. Thanks and regards, Vinay M. Now days more effective drug for snake prevention is available in market and same is used widely by farmers that is FORATE. We have tried it and found suitable. Thanks and regards, Vinay M.
