Guest guest
Dear All, What is the basic cause of the Accident....Were workers trained for Safety to work in Environment like that, Were there enough precautionary measures available for Emergency Evacuations only a rope???? "He said that besides a rope tied down, they did not have any other safety precaution", One cannot blame mechanical products like Valves, and other items, But certainly these kind of accidents can be avoided or damage could be lesser. After hearing this kind of incident, I feel sorry for the Workers, as they are not trained well for Safety for the work they are carrying out...... Certainly besides knowing reason of this Accident, I would like to ask my professional friends to emphasise on training the workers for safety for the Jobs workers are carrying out, so effect of these kind of accidents is minimised. Sunjeev SHARMA RE: [safetyworld] KCP Karur Fatal accident Dear Rabiq Ali, It looks like a confined space entry related accident! QUOTE "Doctors who attend on the injured said that they could have died of asphyxia" UNQUOTE It happened in Karur (KCP); I guess it is in Tamilnadu, although the news report has emanated from Puduchery! Somebody who is closer to that area and having access to the respective factory inspectorate can find out more details and post it to the group for the benefit of all the members! regards Kamarajan From: safetyworldyahoogroups (DOT) co.in [mailto:safetyworldyahoogroups (DOT) co.in] On Behalf Of S RabiqaliSent: Wednesday, January 03, 2007 10:43 AMTo: indiansafetyprofessionals ; REC_HELPS ; safetyworldyahoogroups (DOT) co.in; infoseaindia (DOT) orgSubject: [safetyworld] KCP Karur Fatal accident Could any one explain what could be the cause of this accident.
