We are planning to go for an fire alarm system in our administration building. For this, I have received quotes from companies who are into installation of fire alarm systems. I would like to know, if there are any standards/codes/rules/thumb rule for fixing of fire alarm systems, because I would like to verify if the number of detectors/manual call points etc. as given in the quotations are suffice or otherwise.
