Guest guest
Dear all,Motor Vehicle Act is not applicable to Mobile Cranes (which are NOT Tyre Mounted). They didn’t have RTO registration no too. Yet, we insist Crane Operator must have HGV license and minimum 3 Years of Industrial experience in crane operation. For Tyre mounted cranes Motor Vehicle Act is applicable, and requirement of license is as mentioned in the Act. Guest guest
Dear Mr.Sunil, Kindly clarify whether the below mentioned specs are available in Motor vehicle Act. Motor vehicle Act defines Motor vehcile as below, "motor vehicle" or "vehicle" means any mechanically propelled vehicle adapted for use upon roads whether the power of propulsion is transmitted thereto from an external or internal source and includes a chassis to which a body has not been attached and a trailer; but does not include a vehicle running upon fixed rails or a vehicle of a special type adapted for use only in a factory or in any other enclosed premises or a vehicle having less than four wheels fitted with engine capacity of not exceeding 1[twenty-five cubic centimeters]; It seems that Poclain may also come in this category which would require a driving license. May please be clarified.
