A friend suggested I pop my head back in over here. Been a long time since I

been on the board here.

I am , single mom to 15yr(DS,ADHD,G-tube) Dayton

11yr(DS,PDD-NOS) and 7yr(adopted,DS,CP,Jtube).

Dayton the one that brought me to the group to begin with. He is 11yr now and

feel I am lucky we made it this far without major hurting each other! lol He is

quite a handful and some days I have no idea how I will make it through the next

min! I always seem to pull through barely. There dad is somewhat involved. But

he just DONT get the issues and how to deal with it. He better part time parent

than full time parent. Which makes it worse for me.

Finally got the school to agree to hire a male para to work one on one with him

and they going to do modify ABA for him. Really hope this helps with behaviors.

I finally dont give in like I use to. I hold it to the end before I give up! 95%

time, I win. Just a hard road but hope there light in the end of the tunnel!

Been told 18yr, 19yr. is a relaxing stage. LMAO! We shall see.

I just wanted to drop a line and say HI !!! I am sure I will be keeping up as

the last conversation of the car and seatbelt has been a issue with us.. I been

looking into the vest harness part for us.. Dayton does sit in the verry back of

the mini van ALONE... and he can hit and thrash all by himself. If it is too

much, I pull over and get very stern eye to face with him and tell him NO...

once started back up.. if he conts, I stop again. Normally no more than 2 times

is all I have to stop.
