Guest guest
Well I 1st want to say Thank You God for leading me in the right direction. I will give you a little information on what brought me to search this website at 4 in the morning. will be 3 years old in October and when he was 7 months he had open heart surgery to repair 3 holes in his heart. At this time he came home from the hospital to live with me. I am 's Biological Great Aunt and has fate has brought us together now I am Momma and Son. From going single and free to WHAT.. so it has been a life changing adventure. 6 months after his surgery his 4 year old brother came to be a part of our family. So it took adjustment again as he has some sensory issues as well. Another story for later. At about 1 1/2 really started to head bang really bad at night, school he struggled with 1 1/2 hours once a week and therapists just said oh he will do things in his own time.. Down Syndrome children are like that. Still continues..He is not walking, Not speaking, will not self feed, or drink, and only eats certain foods. Was told last week that Therapy is no longer available because where he is cognitively. In January his school did a cognitive test which said he was mild to moderate delayed. Therapy said more in the severe category. They just don't want him to qualify for some subsidiary program.. I am so confused. As I have read information I have been in such denial that these characteristics are autistic behavior. My Beautiful joy that is so precious. Ok the wall has come down and now the flood gates are open. I am such a mess internally that I have been hiding for so long.. .. That brings me here today.
