Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Seeing's as we are sharing our happy stories of our children I thought that I would share this one from just last night. My son Logan who is 5 has had the hardest time trying to read and learn new words at school and home. I have been getting so fustrated as they are such simple words that I don't realize that to him they aren't. Well last night I came home and he came in from swimming in a great mood and ran over to me and said do you want to see something, i said sure and he came back with two sheets of paper. He say down beside me and read every single word on those two pages without any help or prompting from me and he just got them today from his EA to work on at home. I just sobbed as he read. I made him read them again and again. It just made my heart swell with pride that what we were teaching him was finally coming through loud and clear. He thought that I was sad and told me not to cry and I told him that I was crying because I was happy. He then said because I'm a smart boy now right. I told him he is always a smart boy no matter what. I'm sorry this is long but I just had to share my joy. We have also had two nights with no accident. We ran out of Goodnites so we thought we would try and see how things went. Well knock on wood so far so good. Funny this morning I told him to throw out his good nite and he said I'm a big boy now Mom I don't need those. So fingers crossed that we have crossed another hurdle. Have a great day everyone, and keep the Happy Days thread going.
