Guest guest
My daughter's DAN doc is not recommending kids with autism get the H1N1 shot. Says it could do more harm than good. He recommended several natural anti-viral supplements. I'd be happy to share the list if anyone is interested. In addition to having , my daughter also has epilepsy so I worry about that part of it too! Heidi
Guest guest
I agree, if serious respitory issues are involved I probably would get the shot too. My daughter does not have that issue. I do worry though that she does seem to get sick easily. We've been working since April to strengthen her immune system with natural supplements (zinc, vitamin D, magnesium, etc.). Is it going to be good enough? I also have a 3 year old and I was told by the DAN doc to be careful with vaccines with her too because she is at a higher risk of autism as a younger sibling to one who has it. Below is the info for the natural anti-viral supplement options. The dosages are based on my daughter's weight (48 lbs.). Guest guest
The good thing is that each is given searately. One thing that I worry about is the overload when multiple vaccines are given at the same time. And it is getting harder and harder to get the vaccines unbundled. My daughter is now going thru that with my 4 month old g'daughter. the ped doesn't want to give the shots unbundled and she will have to pay at the health dept to get the vaccines each separately - which I am suggesting as being safer. This not because of themerisol but because of autoimmune overload. MHO> > > > > Thanx Sara also my dilemma??? Guest guest
I am afraid to get it for . He has never had any type of flu shot due to his epilepsy. He has been so well controlled for the past few years I am terrified of starting things up again and I know several Mom's in my epilepsy kids group that said their children had seizures right away after flu shots. I hate having to make this decision every year but this year with swine flu I really don't know what to do.? Anyone else with kid's with seizures have any advise? Guest guest
I too have been debating the H1N1 shots. For those who are choosing not too, have or do your children have serious respitory issues? My daughter has been in critical care, intibated, these past two years with severe pneumonia. I have been told by her respitory pediatrician to make sure that her and our entire family get the H1N1 shots this flu season. I just don't think I can risk her getting this illness and would never forgive myself if I didn't and something serious happened. I hate having to make these decisions!! I hope our school will never make this mandatory or they would end up killing my son with any type of shots. He does not flush any toxic out. In 's case told not to get any flu shots due to his weak auto-immune system and allergic to eggs. This is from various medical physicians within the conventional and biomed approach. I was surprised to hear this on one of the news report as well. Even, I am unable to get any of the flu shots, if so have gotten pretty sick where would end up killed as I ended up at a hospital once. It would really vary among how one has to undergo such going through having these shots. Irma,21,DS/ASD

Guest guest
Thanks Liz, I am opening at my largest fair on Friday. I am so behind I could sit and cry. I begin my 18-20 hr work days until Oct 4. I have had an earache going on two weeks but the body aches and fever are gone. I am still on the antibiotics. I should be mending uniforms but in time of stress I head for the list, my comfort zone. Charlyne > > > > > > > > > Im wondering what all of you are thinking about these shots, I know this > > could stir up contraversy and thats not my reason for this post my reason > is > > to beable to think it thru and decide what we should do for me, right now > I > > am against it but........I am so hoping the school districts dont make up > > their minds its mandatory?? > > ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ > > Your E-mail and More On-the-Go.
