Guest guest
Forwarding message from Sasha Daly of TreeHouse re APPGA inquiry into transition - TreeHouse will be submitting evidence and here is how your family's experience can be part of that evidence: Dear Parents The All Party Parliamentary Group on Autism (APPGA) is currently holding its first ever inquiry. The inquiry is looking at the transition stage of young people with autism from the age of 14 to 25. Transition can be a difficult time for young people with autism so effective support and early planning is essential. The inquiry was launched on 9 December 2008 and will take both written and oral evidence. Written evidence will be taken up to 6 February 2009, and the officers of the group will call on a few people to give oral evidence later in February and in March. TreeHouse will be submitting written evidence to the inquiry. It would be extremely helpful to get your feedback from you to inform our submission. We have therefore put together the following survey to collect your views. This survey is completely anonymous. The first page of the survey asks for some background information. The second page gives you a chance to answer the specific inquiry questions. As these questions are quite long and detailed we also have a third and final page which provides a chance for you to write down any thoughts you have on the topic. The survey is constructed so that you don't have to answer any of the questions specifically (except for the initial background questions), so please feel free to only answer questions that you want to. Please complete the survey here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=nbohYwOZ6l_2bW6EsjhcL6Og_3d_3d Thank you for your time in looking at this and sending me your thoughts to inform our response, it really makes a difference to hear your views and experiences. Please do forward this on to other parents in your networks. The deadline for this survey is Friday 30 January. If you would like to submit evidence directly to the inquiry you can do that aswell/instead by going to the National Autistic Society website: http://www.autism.org.uk/nas/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=2029 Zoe
