Guest guest
Hi My son Luke has been suffering from very bad stomach pains for the last 3 days. The pain does seem to come and go but it does seem to get severe as he cries out in pain and walks round in a hunched like manner as though his tummy is very tender. We have been to the doctors and we will get results back from the urine test to see if he has an infection tomorrow. I don't think it is bowel problems as he has had regular BM and doesn't seem bloated. The reason I am worried is how bad the pain seems sometimes. Luke has a very high pain threshold and never complains when he is ill or has a bump. He broke his collar bone a few years ago and just winced slightly when they examined him in the hospital - it was only from me insisting on an x-ray that they discovered he had a clean break. Has anyone had similar experience? Can an urine infection be this bad? We have been giving him regular doses of neurofen which do seem to ease to pain, which makes me think it may be an infection. I suppose I am worrying just in case it is something more serious. I would be very grateful for any feedback.
