Guest guest
Relatively cheap is an understatement - most Alaskan canned salmon I"ve seen is regularly on sale (at least here in Missouri) for under $1.50 a can. I stock up all the time. A very cheap source of high quality protein and omega 3s . If you avoid adding salt to anything else in your diet, the extra sodium in the canned salmon shouldn't be excessive. The reason canned wild salmon is so cheap is that during the salmon runs they can only sell so much fresh wild salmon - the rest has to be preserved -either frozen or canned. Original message: Your surest bet for a salmon fix, especially in winter, may be canned Alaska salmon. It´s fairly cheap, is sold year round, and generally has "Alaska" stamped on its lid. __________________________________________________
