Guest guest
Thank you for that email . I feel a little better about it. We live in NJ and there are now 5 suspected cases here today and with NY just 30 minutes away where most of the cases have been confirmed I am getting pretty worried. Almost everyone we know works in NY. I have an older daughter who is a senior in hs and you know how things spead in those crowded halls! And here I was so relieved that flu season usually ends in April.Terry

Guest guest
Hi ,I am in Edison in central NJ. My sister works in the ER in a hospital nearby and said people are panicking and piling in to be tested for swine flu. She said they had a waiting room full of people wearing masks. Most of them had allergies. One woman had no symptoms but had been to Mexico so wanted to be tested. I think it's going to get crazy. My neighbor told me that the middle school yesterday was sending home any kids who were sneezing at school.I heard on the news that there are suspected cases here but none confirmed yet.Terry Re: Fwd: Swine Flu/Tamiflu> > > > > > > > Thank you for that email . Guest guest
The flu shots are not going to help for swine flu. Tamiflu does help if early enough. My middle son works at a children's camp in the summer. They have had 3 cases of swine flu. The kids have been isolated anad there has been no epidemic. ONe kid was sent home on opening day with flu symptoms which became swine flu. There is expectation that swine flu will INCREASE when schools open (here in CDC lanad that means 2 weeks when school begins!!!!) > > > Any news about the swine flu and updates? Guest guest
Dont come to Australia then,,, there are so many cases its like the common cold seeing though we are in winter here!! Its only gonna get worse, people have died (not sure on exact figure) and a pregnant lady lost her baby, a hand full of people in intensive care. Most whos cases were fatal had other illnesses. is the worst, Im just hoping we dont catch it as Im 6mths pregnant too. They are still giving Tamiflu, but schools arent closing and people arent being isolated... Belinda
