Guest guest
I have a suggestion (I have never done this but it's worth a shot). If you only have one tray (with cover??), and you do another batch, after rinsing and draining WELL, stick it in the fridge while sprouting, and rinse and drain every 12 hours. Do what I always do. EXPERIMENT. Hey, whatever works. lol Melody > > > I had to throw out my batch of mung bean sprouts today. They looked kinda nasty. They turned all yellow instead of being white. Could this be due to the heat we are having now, it hit 95 here today. Do I need to get one of Melody's sprout coolers going on or is the turning yellow due to something else? Thanks. > > > >
Guest guest
Good idea Melody. I will put some to soak soon and try this. It can't hurt to try it. > To: sproutpeople > From: eliz7212@... > Date: Sun, 22 Apr 2012 03:04:00 +0000 > Subject: Re: Bean sprouts > > I have a suggestion (I have never done this but it's worth a shot). Guest guest
I think it was the heat. I had our temp set to 75 in the house and noticed the sprouts were having a tough time so I reduced it to 73 to see how that goes. R.
