But I had the tick on my jaw, didn't know what it was and kept rubbing or aggravating the tick with my shoulder, did not remove it right. By day 4 I was so ill ended up in ER, and that is something I don't do. By the way I was on Biaxin when I got bit. Still have lyme 7 years later. Much better now, but not cured. Keep a log of your symptoms, that is super important. You will be able to " track " your cycles of lyme, and different symptoms come and go. You will not be able to remember them, I have kept a log since day one. Had to go to court and if it wasn't for the log, I really didn't realize how sick I was. She suffered a brain hemorrhage and brain swelling at birth. This caused her to have cp (cerebral palsy). We took her off of her seizure meds at 1 year after two normal EEG's. But in a month and a half after the meds left her system they returned. So her neurologist said he wont touch her meds again until he receives a normal cat scan and mri. Her seizures are scary because she stops breathing. She still has break thru seizures. She was diagnosed with asthma at 18 months. It is under control though. The only time it gets bad is when she is sick. The JRA was diagnosed about 6-8 months ago. But she showed signs for a while with out being diagnosed. The doctors kept saying it was from her cp and that I wanted a perfect child and Chyanne would never be perfect. Then I blew my top and told them " for all of your information Chyanne is perfect in my eyes. I know she has disabilities but that doesn't mean I can't do everything in my power to make her life the best it can be!!! " Then I told them to send me to a specialist and they sent me to her rheumy and she was soon diagnosed. She still has flare ups but not as bad. It takes her about 20 to 30 minutes to get moving in the morning but she gets there. Sorry this is so long I hope I answered all of your questions. Guest guest Posted August 3, 2000 Report Share Posted August 3, 2000 Hi Charlene sounds like you have a perfect daughter and very loveing one too you were right to let the doctors know how you feel if they cant be considerate then what are they being doctors for does have asthma my hubby has and son to i have dealt with that since i married my hubby melissa was born with it shes on the albuterol inhaler and solution nebulizer and the zyrtec they just put her on a nasal spray she takes voltaren for her JRA she has acidosis also but no matter what these kids have they feel to a point normal they dont know what normal is without what they have asthma is fatal if not controlled so we control it they can do anything they want as long as it feels ok to them but never hold them back always encourage them to try they will amaze you and these kids are special angels and the moms are special to cause god gave us them today melissa finally went outside on her own to play she had so much fun lololol something i have not seen in her in months even though her ankle was swollen and she did limp some when you see your child so active that shes considered ADHD then one day you wake up and she cant walk its like someone has you in a spin you see what your choices are and readapt then enjoy all the small moments and the hurdles you and the child cross enjoy every minute with your child its not a diabilaty they have its a disadvantage they overcome with your smile a hug or a i love you or just a ice cream cone on the porch Robbin Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am concerned that another Dr will only lead to more medications, and I have some ideas that if is not the gallbladder it is something in that area, giving me a great deal of pain. Two week ago I insisted on blood tests after getting very ill and vomitting for three days and with the upper stomach area in a great deal of pain. I was never called on those blood tests and went in to see the Dr to tell him I had started to take the tapazole again on my own, he said yes you should have been taking it. It appears that the Dr haven't appeared to be worried at all to this point. I know I can feel the changes and it has affected my life style. After reading some of the posts this is very concerning to me. Any ideas here? Charlene Was the Tapazole recalled from the general public or you? I did however find another manufacturer is applying to make the same tablets, methimazole, and have been given approval. Methimazole(generic Tapazole) by Par's is being recalled at this time, but no one seems to know why. I have left a message at Par's to find out. The brand name Tapazole is still being produced. Sorry for the confusion know I was confused:) I guess I am still in a state of not feeling well and not understanding this much. Again any info anyone has on getting treatment for this let me know. Finding a really good doctor for HCV can be hard, but worth all the effort it can take. You really need to find another doctor, one who is more knowledgable about HCV, and is interested in treating people with HCV, not just brushing you off. After finding a good doctor, the most important thing to do is learn all you can - about HCV, treatments, symptoms, related conditions that we are prone too, alternatives, things you can do to help yourself - EVERYTHING you can! And I will start searching for a new Doctor. I have be reading things online about Hep C, it has been enlightening. But at the same time I wondered why I was not informed by this last doctor of it all. I hope other are not having this problem as I had with my first doctor. I almost thought oh well I just have to except I have a virus running in my body and stop thinking it is effecting me, it must other things effecting how I feel all the time. You probably won't get sick if they give you a good antiemetic like phenergen in your IV and some zofran and maybe some suppositories to take home, damn I know it sounds gross but they work good. I didn't get nauseated and the pain was much better than implantation. Unfortunately, my left implant broke upon removal. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that it is one week that i've been explanted and i'm doing much better than i thought. My breasts look so much better than i thought the only problem is that my left nipple seems to be inverted, i had a slight problem with it before but it seems though that now it is noticeable but it's not that bad. I'll wrtie more once i visit my ps on Tuesday and when i feel a little better. Guest guest Posted December 14, 2001 Report Share Posted December 14, 2001 Hmm no mine are still in Fengs office and I found out they are full of yellow not clear fluid so I am sending them to Blais as soon as I get the paper work from Feng. I don't think they should ever drain them but if one ruptured then I guess that is too late, don't let them drian the other one, I just hope they got it all out, refressh me here did you have over or under the muscle? If they were over that is why your not probably in so much pain, and yes if you don't get a lift it is less time, so an hour and a half might be reasonable, did you get it in writting that he would take out the capsule and also did they send them to pathology with the capsule on them, the capsule should be wieghed and measured, that is standard procedure. I hope they got it all out that is the main thing, if so they your on your way to better health and I am so glad your breasts look good ... I think since you are so young and never had kids that makes a big difference, it kind of depends on how you start and like me I was so saggy that if I would not have had a lift I would be deformed right now to be sure, anyhow I had a bad side too my right side was a mess so it gave me lots of problems. Did they use drains? Doesn't sound like it, well I don't know, I am not an expert I had the drains which in my case was good cause those suckers were just full of fluid, however from reading my op report it appears that the capsules become vascularized to the muscle and acutally creat there own blood supply so this is why it was so teadious and painful to get them out of me, if yours were overs then that might explain allot of things. However, I don't expect much detail from him especially since he doesn't believe implants cause anything. My left breast still hurts quite a bit but I had a problem with that one with the first surgery. I believe my body probably was rejecting it back then. My surgery took 1 1/2 hours. They explanted and took the capsules out. I had no lift. It was done before. The capsules were sent to pathology. I was a little concerned about the surgery time since everyone tells me they took 3 hours but most have had a lift so I don't know if that takes about another hour. I was thinking of sending my implants to dr. blais. By the way, were your implants given back to you with the saline inside or did they drain that and give you only the implants? Anyway, I'll get back to everyone in a few days. As for my concerns with my breasts. They look better than i had imagined except for the left breast and the nipple but it's not horrible. They are also slightly bigger than before so that was a nice surprise and it has been a week and there doesn't seem to be too much swelling. I was kind of concerned on how my breasts would look but as soon as I woke up from anasthesia, I can't believe how happy I was to know that the poison was out of me! I really didn't care if my breasts looked awful. However, I guess they drained the saline..now I don't know if that was during the surgery while they were in me or after...have to ask the ps My implants were over the muscle. I did get in writing that he would remove the capsules. It said something about bilateral bla...bla...and capsulectomy As for drains, they only used them for a few hours until I was released from the hospital, I was told by variuos nurses that the doctors don't practice that too much because they are really discouraged in sending patients home with them...anyway...everythings seems ok though The hair loss...definetly....it actually seemed to lessen lately but I got married 7 months ago and quite a few months before the wedding, I guess because of the stress and at the same time I was graduating and had my exams, it was awful. I did notice though that when my symptoms started getting really bad about 1 1/2 ago so did the hair loss. I still lose much more hair than normal but it isn't awful. Hopefully, this too will get better and not much worse because I have alot of hair but it is very fine. So, now I'm wondering about the saline in the implants....obviously one ruptured so nothing could be done... The other implant is in tact but only some (what looks like water (perhaps saline) is in there but could they have sent it for analysis or drained it? Have to ask the ps.. By the way, maybe aroundMarch I will submit my story to the group and an update on how I'm doing with a few pics of my breasts. What do you think causes the hair loss? I know I have high levels of aluminium. Well what a stupid question, it's obviously something in the make up of the implants since many of us are getting it. NExt, what should I send my implants to Dr. Blais for? What type of analysis. When I called and spoke to his wife, who is a lovely lady, she asked me what did I want done? Guest guest Posted December 15, 2001 Report Share Posted December 15, 2001 I don't know this is just completely against everything I was told by my Dr but I am not going to say it is wrong, I just was told that implants should be removed enbloc, with the capsules still on them and all the scar tissue removed in patients that have symptoms, wether or not he did this I do not know, I am not sure what to say, I feel that time will tell and if you get better than you will know but if you took the implants it is kind of not as usefull to have them analized once they have been in the air they can grow things, mold etc. I guess put them in a plastic bag and see what Dr Blais thinks you need to ask him if he thinks that they can be analized since they have been handled the way they have. I also know for a fact that drains are important and that is why I had them and that is how Dr Feng, Huang and Kolb do there explants, it is to prevent complications, if and when an implant is removed en bloc and total capuslectomy it will leave a pocket that wants to refill with fluid, anyhow it is done now, and I am just praying that he did it right, I worry about girls that use these PS's that don't believe in implant illness because I get worried that they won't take the time and effort needed to do it right. I don't want to upset you either, what is done is done and if you feel better that is a sure sign he did things right. If in a few months you still have health probs you might want to contact Dr Feng and see if she thinks everything was done ok. I am just surprised that these Dr's don't use drains, it really is kind of the gold standard of explants. Anyhow I am not a dr so I may be too worried but when I hear of women not getting better I always question the fact as to how the surgery was done and if all the gunk was removed. I am sure things will be fine for you and that he just has his own way of doing things, still make sure and get a copy of your operative report and pics and def share your story with us. The Hair loss is obviously connected to implants with out a doubt, I think it would have eventually got me too but I didn't wait around long once I got ill to get them out. hang in there girl you are doing the right thing. I feel the same way about my own breasts now, the way the softness feels is so much better than the stupid hard implant, I can't believe I even liked them when I had them! So not worth it. Doctors can remove a portion of the capsule and call it a capsulectomy. Even if they remove a section and send it to pathology, he can still say he did a capsulectomy. Some will leave a portion of the capsule in to help fill out the breasts. They think they are doing women a favor so that they won't be freaked out after explant by leaving some extra filler in there from the capsule. Big mistake though. I don't want to alarm you... just want you to be aware of the shenanigans some doctors will pull because they aren't fully informed, especially if they don't take the idea of illness from implants seriously at all. They play God. I think hair loss has alot to do with hormonal levels, and we know that implants have chemicals in them that can mimic estrogen and take the place of our own estrogen on the receptor sites, or otherwise totally mess up the hormonal balance in a woman. If you have high levels of aluminum that you know of, then you can take steps to get that stuff out of you. Do some major detoxing and seriously consider chelation therapy. I have done chelation therapy and it did not cost much at all. Some people think it is really expensive (and it can be if you use EDTA), but if you use DMSA as your chelating agent instead, the cost is much more reasonable. It depends on your heavy metal load which chelating agent you use, but generally those with mercury and aluminum toxicity can effectively use DMSA for about $50 a month. EDTA is about $100 a treatment. It is not a simple subject to discuss, so I will need to give an abbreviated version. However, for those of you who want to do some further research on your own about it, it is called DiMercaptoSuccinic Acid. You will get alot more results with an Internet search when you plug in this full name than if you just put in DMSA. There are many conflicting opinions, one of which I have already exposed you to, with the references by Andy Cutler. You generally cannot buy DMSA over the counter. It IS a prescription only substance according to the FDA. However, succinic acid is a natural supplement, and a few internet suppliers have provided DMSA from succinic acid. I will provide this information to those who are interested in researching this further. You just have to write to me privately for this info. Chelating agents grab and hold onto heavy metals in the blood stream, and then carry them out with your urine or feces. There are many chelating agents; DMSA is recognized as an effective yet safe one for mercury particularly. Chelating agents have been used for years and years, this is not a new product and there is scientific research available to back up its use.
