Guest guest
Hi, I'm kind of a new member to the group, i live in mexico, and i read every day all of the messages posted by all the members, unfortunatelly here in Mexico we don't have all the information and resources as in the USA, anyway i like reading everything because represents hope for me, and the reason that i'm writting is because i want to know if anyone knows how can you identify an allergic reaction to Abacavir, i asked my doctor to switch AZT for Abacavir or Viread because i was having lypoatrophy in my arms, legs and face, he finally agreed to change it and gave me Abacavir, i started taking it a month ago, but just yesterday i estarted with slightly sore troat and a runny nose and sneezing, bothering but that's all, no fever, no diarreah, no stomach ache, no sickness, no body pain, no tiredness, no short of breath, no cough, no red spots or sweeling in my skin, how can i know if this really is an allergic reaction? or with this symptoms i'm just plain paranoid? i went to see my doctor and he gave me Loratadine and Pseudoefedrine(not sure abut the English translation... sorry), i certainly have my fears because the warning label in the Abacavir Box is not very clear, thanks to all
