Guest guest
, This does not sound right to me. I am in almost the same boat. Waiting on the conscientious objection form but have the religious exemption from last year, re-notarized and in hand. However, the school as of yet has not confronted me. On the TDH website it says the forms will be available no later than September 1, 2003 Has anyone in the know answered this post? Jack Vaccine Objection Does anyone know if the concientious objection is replacing the religious objection? I filed a religious objection for my son as he started PPCD at the start of the school year and I did not want to push the 30 day deadline trying to navigate the C.O. on September 1. The nurse at his school is saying that, even though we filed the religious exemption, we have to file a concientious objection on 9.1. Is this correct? Has anyone else heard this? IS this correct? J. P. Guest guest
I just spoke to a rep at the Dept. of Health and he said that IF you have an exemption on file for Religious reasons, with the school district, under the current law, and before 9/1/2003- then you do not have to submit a new form under the new law in effect after 9/1/2003. Again, it says this on their news release at: http://www.tdh.state.tx.us/news/b_new491.htm <http://www.tdh.state.tx.us/news/b_new491.htm> I am still interested to hear from Dawn or Jeff, as to whether they have heard this and is true as it appears to be to me at this time.
