Guest guest
Hi T. Do you have services through your local MR/DD board? If not call them and set up an appt. for services. Refresh my memory..your child is m/f? Autistic? Age? Anything you request from the school do it in writing and save a copy for yourself. Create a paper trail. In school what is your childs classification? (LD,DH,SBH)? What grade is your child in? Is speech, OT and PT involved? Sorry fo all of the questions . Hope to hear from you soon. S. Guest guest
So really quickly, (for all us meanie mommies, lol) I forgot to mention one of my concerns about letting her cry it out. Marlycia cant go from laying position to sitting position on her own. Do you think she will stop breathing b/c of the brace? Should I loosen it a little more at night? I know of one parent who said their child cried so hard they lost their breath, but of course were able to regain it. Guest guest
I can imagine it only because , 's brother, was one of those babies. He would get so mad and upset he literally would turn blue and fall over. Talk about a BIG temper at a very young age. Very scary for a parent. Melinda, have you ever heard of the Ferber method? Not sure if it will still work with her age, but you could always try. I used many different things with , but ultimately did something like Dr. Ferber's method. Here is a link. If it doesn't come through just google Ferber method.http://www.sleep-baby-sleep.com/ferber-method.htm TashaMommy of 4 year old twin boys- and Fort Worth, TexasSeries of 6 casts for 14 months and now in a night brace. is treated at Texas ish Rite Hospital. You can read 's story at....http://www.infantilescoliosis.org/stories.htmlFrom: poohlvr To: infantile_scoliosis Sent: Thu, October 15, 2009 3:04:21 PMSubject: Re: Me again I can't imagine her completely stopping breathing.
