Takes a minute for the page to load on dial up. Tonya I thought this was interesting. It states that autism is now the number one disability among children!! (Read what is in the vaccines.) Although once considered rare, during the last two decades the chance of a child being diagnosed with autism has skyrocketed from one in 10,000 to one in 150. In California, full-syndrome autism now is the No. 1 disability among children and more prevalent than childhood cancer, diabetes and Down's syndrome. It is estimated that within the next four years autism cases in the Golden State will exceed the total number of cases of both cerebral palsy and epilepsy. To get a better idea of how quickly the epidemic is spreading one need only consider that in 1987 there were 2,778 persons with autism in California. By 2002 the number had increased to 20,377, and in 2002 3,575 new cases had been added to the rolls, far exceeding the total number of cases in the state 15 years earlier. For years there has been a debate about the cause or causes of autism, but the vast majority of finger-pointing has been directed at childhood vaccines as the culprit. And considering what is put into the vaccines injected into hours-old infants, it is easy to understand why they are at the top of the list of suspects: formaldehyde (used in embalming), thimerosal (nearly 50 percent mercury), aluminum phosphate (toxic and carcinogenic), antibiotics, phenols (corrosive to skin and toxic), aluminum salts (corrosive to tissue and neurotoxic), methanol (toxic), isopropyl (toxic), 2- pheoxyethanol (toxic), live viruses and a host of unknown components considered off-limits as trade secrets. These are just part of the vaccine mixture. " For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help. Guest guest
Well I'm no good at computers. And I post directly here so I don't have any old messages. Guest guest
Hi Casey, sorry to hear about your problem, but the SOB you are describing sounds exactly like pneumonia. They were the exact same symptoms I had when I got pneumonia. How do you know your lungs are clear? My suggestion would be to see another doctor and perhaps even a visit the emergency room. Oportunisitc infections supposedly don't really start until your CD4 drop below 200, but that isn't always the case. Better safe than sorry. -Mike > > I am on Viracept and Combivir. Guest guest
I've experienced the shortness of breath, huffing, and puffing, with EXTREME fatigue.. My meds have caused me to have anemia, which is now controlled by Procrit shots weekly. I'd ask for a CBC, paying attention to the hemoglobin. My HGB is now low normal, but at one point I had to have a series of blood transfusions. I'm not saying that you're case is quite this serious, but do get lab work asap, even if it means ER. Do you not have a Nurse Practiioner in the office that can assist? No more drug holidays I hope? Good luck. Casey wrote: I am on Viracept and Combivir. My T's were 1200+ and V.L. <50. Guest guest
Casey, The same thing happened to me while on AZT (which is part of Combivir, no?) AZT can cause anemia. You should probably have blood work done ASAP. Larry -------------- Original message -------------- I am on Viracept and Combivir. My T's were 1200+ and V.L. <50. Guest guest
When you get shortness of breath upon minimal exertion, you should take your pulse rate at that time. If your pulse rate is elevated compared to your normal resting pulse, you are experiencing tachycardia (traditionally a resting heart rate above 100) which in people with HIV is often caused by Autonomic Dysfunction. If you have HIV related Autonomic or Cardiac Dysfunction you will experience this paradox. You will find that during most times of the day you could run or swim vigorously, even with your pulse above 130, without shortness of breath - but when the symptoms of Autonomic Dysfunction strike you can quickly become out of breath by walking ten feet or up four steps. On the other hand, weight lifting can be prone to bring on tachycardia in people with Autonomic Dysfunction. People with HIV who have Autonomic Dysfunction are also more prone to experience Positional Hypotension also called Orthostatic Hypotension where you can feel faint when rising from a sitting position. If your tachycardia is constant or occurs every time you exercise or exert yourself, it is less likely this is caused by Autonomic Dysfunction and should prompt you to seek immediate medical attention. The causes of this sort of tachycardia can have quite serious health implications. Autonomic Dysfunction can be found in roughly 10% of all people with HIV at any given time. It is also common among diabetics. Many cardiologists believe this condition is more common in people who have a detectable viral load or who did so in recent months - which matches your situation. In people with HIV these symptoms typically last for nine months or so, but persist in a minority. Cardiologists typically treat this condition with Beta-Blockers like Toprol or Coreg. Some find this helpful while others many find these solutions to be worse than the underlying problem. Autonomic Dysfunction means your automatic body functions, such as heart rate, body temperature etc, are no longer functioning correctly. While no one knows what about HIV causes this, fragments of HIV virus are well known to fit many receptors in the body. The result of HIV fragments can be like a maniac running through a refinery, randomly turning valves and switches. http://gateway.nlm.nih.gov/robot_pages/MeetingAbstracts/102218363.html >> I am on Viracept and Combivir.
