Viola Hi everybody, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for some STURDY glassess for a 7 year old. I once heard of some rubber glasses that were pretty much indestructable for kids with special needs, but I can't seem to find it on the internet. Any suggestions would be helpful. I am not looking forward to this new adventure!! Thanks **************Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars. Guest guest
Hi, I had bought a pair of glasses made with " flexon " Very expensive, but were very, very durable and stood up to Dylan's hard use on them. They have a good warranty too, they replaced them once for free even after they were a few years old and one of the arm things came off. I bought a cheaper pair this year & we are one pair #3....so I think I will be buying the flexon brand again. The lady had talked me into trying a cheaper pair with flexon-like material and they are certainly NOT the same! Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Diane, We recently got glasses (again - she had them at three but strabismus got better and now its back). She will only wear them at certain times - like for school and occasionally to watch tv and we don't fight her because the melt down isn't worth it! We have what our glasses place calls " curly q's " on the ends of her ear pieces. They are rubber and curl around her ear. they told me they use them a lot with DS kids because regular glasses slip forward on our kids due to the flat bridge of the nose. They really make a difference. We also JUST ordered the titanium frames because her 2 1/2 year old brother thinks it just hysterical to take the glasses off of her and play Gumby with them! At $40 a month for replacements, the $240 we're spending will hit break even point in 6 months and with how slow grows they should last 18 months to a year so we're making out! I hope this is helpful. ('s mom, 9, DS, ASD) > > Hi everyone, > Rochelle wears glasses with cablebacks and I was wondering if any of your > children wear regular glasses?
