I had vague recollection of this and didn't remember if I had done it in the end or not, so looked it up http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/VeganMacrobiotics/files/ the file is called Library - but unfortunately it's not at all active - no one posted anything. It started because somebody on this site was looking for a book and somebody else on the site had it to give her - which was beautiful!!!!!!!! And as long as we're all ok with tooting our own horns, I will repeat (I'm sure I must have talked about it before) how I had a goal to create in my own area a mb community - I was inspired when I was in L.A. how they had these great meetings every other week, and that used to be my highlight of my visits home to my folks, once a year. So I attempted to do the same here in Israel - it didn't go the

first time I tried, then I with the help of someone else created monthly potlucks - that was a lot of work (and I know those exist in America in different places - if anyone doesn't have in their area, I encourage you to find other mb people and start them) so I thought better to have it every week at the same place and time and not have to make all those phone calls. It worked pretty well for three years, then we got into complications. As part of those meetings and a way to contact people I created (with Bruce's encouragement) a yahoo group http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MacroloversofJerusalem/ At first it was just to inform people of what happened at the meetings and when the next ones would be. Then I got a bit daring and posted my own take on things. Then even got more daring and decided to emphasize that which inspires me the

most - in both macrobiotics and Judaism. Of course, it's always easier to write to people who believe the same as you do - but we've had people who don't and it's been challenging (as it has for you with being vegan). Unfortunately, the site's not that active and it's harder when others don't respond. If anyone here is interested, you're more than welcome to join me there. But more importantly, I think one of the most difficult aspects of mb is the feeling of you're weird, and it's great to get together with others who value the same ideas and goals in life. So I encourage all of you to find in your own local area others, even if just one person, to get together and break some rice together. Klarapurpleveg wrote: I mean the book section you started. Remember when I thought it would be cool to trade macro books? you set something up. I'm in brain fog land. Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Play Monopoly Here and Now (it's updated for today's economy) at Yahoo! Games.
