I have learned to listen to my body and not do anything that feels uncomfortable or threatening all that matters is you move what you've got and make it gradually stronger and more flexible. Guest guest
Thanks. See, this is why i'm glad i joined this group. Without you guys i may have just given up. Actually, i have mastered the move from BStudio you were talking about. Although i don't do it in double time. I have muscle weakness in my legs due to a mild, mild case of MD. I find i can't jump anymore and I cannot climb stairs without practically pulling myself up. I am hoping the deeper I get into TaeBo, the easier these things will become. If not at least I'll be in great shape for everything else. K etcarroll wrote: > susank wrote: > > > > I tried the live basic for the first time today. If I remember correctly, there are some tricky ones on BL1 (e.g., the one where you swing your arms together from side to side while lift one of your knees). What I, and other new move-challenged taeboers do, is stop the tape when you don't understand a move, rewind it, replay it, ... , until the move starts to make sense. It also helps to break down the move. For example above, you can practice doing just the arms; then just the legs. For real tricky moves (e.g., it took me a LONG time to learn the studio basic move where do 3 jabs and a cross while stepping forwards and then backwards), I practice them at work, in the yard while I'm waiting for the dog to return the tennis ball, ... . The good news is that, for me at least, the hardest tapes to learn were the original 4-pack (e.g., the studio basic). That's because most of the moves were new and I was scared. After yo! > u have a few more live tapes under your belt, there are fewer new moves to learn. Plus, I think we just get better at learning the new combinations (more confidence?). Don't give up on BL1. If you can do studio basic with the double time rear kicks, you can do BL1. Good luck. > > Elena > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > " We are all athletes in training for life rather than overweight women trying to drop some pounds temporarily " >
Guest guest
, How about modifying the moves until you get used to them. That's how many of us moved on to more difficult tapes. :-) F susank wrote: original article:/group/tae-bo_on/?start=8672 > I tried the live basic for the first time today. I couldn't finish it! If this was the first basic tape i saw i don't think i would have continued on with TaeBo.
