Guest guest
Hello Pete and all, With thanks to Pete for helping us get set up, I've started HEG biofeedback with my son, Josh (age 15), and it has been going very well. We have done a few sessions at 3 min per site, and recently increased to 4 min. We work every fourth day. He's been doing really well, and can usually keep the movie going with hardly any lapses. To motivate Josh, I bought him a new DVD that he is only allowed to watch while we do his "brain games." Well, Josh likes this movie so much (Jackie Chan) that he is constantly asking for more time on his brain games! My question: Could someone please explain the reasons for spacing the sessions only every fourth day? Also, how quickly can I increase the time, and how will I know if I am going too fast? I would like to understand the logic of the scheduling, both for my own education and so I can explain to Josh more accurately. And finally, how soon do people see results? We've had some very good days recently, but I'm not sure if I can credit HEG or other factors (such as reduced stress since I've allowed him a break from homeschooling while we work on his "brain games").
