Guest guest
Protien is important to rebuild the damaged liver, which can happen on tx. I improved from early cirrhosis to advanced fibrosis while on tx last time, eating adequate protien and keeping better BGs than I am able to without tx. I'm not aware of "restricting" carbs, but focusing on protien and fresh veggies and fruits makes for a bit lower carbs. As I recall bread just wasn't interesting. I had no nausea that time. Hope that if I can do tx I won't have nausea again. I'm a bit unsure, though, because I am having random and unexplained bouts of nausea at this time. Been going on for a month or so and getting more frequent. Maybe my natural interferon is kicking in in anticipation of hoped for tx in the near future. That's what I'd like to think, anyway. IN 24 hours,, its amazing, the sclera is bloodshot, and vision is still a bit blurry, but the cataract is gone, and the sarcoid membrane is all gone and I HOPE and PRAY it never comes back.. From what Silvia says that one should only be on a protein restricted diet IF you are decompensated,, so is your liver decompensated? It just makes NO sense unless you are,, and that could be the reason you didnt clear,, I dunno, but I know MORE ppl who have cleared with geno1 who did eat adequate protein on tx,, and thats not doing ATKINS,, its just simply adding some protein to every meal, making sure you get enough, and it actually CAN be from vegies if one is a vegetarian, it doesnt have to be from flesh foods,, HOW are you? How is your foot?elizabethnv1 wrote: I was on a protein restricted diet too so that may make a difference ....hows your eye today ? Hope your better honey . Questions... Thanks in Advance Hi all... Getting confused here. Someone told me that it’s not a good thing to eat carbs (as in white pasta, bread) during treatment. (Sorry I can’t remember who it is in the group, still don’t have everyone straight)... Anyway, I can’t find this information anywhere on the Internet. Can someone point me in the right direction? All I can find is info that says to eat carbs... Like this sight... (which is an awful sight I feel) http://www.bccdc.org/print.php?page=topic.php & item=60 Also, I’ve sent a few emails to the group that have not been posted. Is there a reason for this? Thanks... Oh, added note. I was just told by the Doctor of my friend with Hep C, that he also has it and is beginning his own treatment. It’s hard to believe. I go for testing tomorrow. Blessings, Grace Again my regrets for not remembering who sent me the info in the first place... I've been pretty stressed! But still it's no excuse.... Yahoo!
