Guest guest
You could have easily answered your own questions just by looking at Dermik.com sculptra.com, from the web site, " " Sculptra® is approved by the FDA for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) in people with human immunodeficiency virus. " " So Obviously you do not qualify for the assistance program unless you have HIV. AKA human immunodeficiency virus And yes Dr Frechette is correct sculptra is $1000.00 per set of 2 vials. Last, Scultra has been study for use on HIV positive individuals, there are no " all kind of weird reactions " as you call them. I can easily understand why Dr Frechette is hesitant to inject you with Sculptra without knowing your condition. That said there are plenty of plastic surgeons in NYC that offer sculptra at full price, unfortunately they do not have Dr frechette experience. > > I'd like to ask this board as a whole: > Yesterday I went to Gervais Frechette MD in NYC, the most experienced Sculptra injector around, trained by the originators in France. It was a mysterious encounter, because I had looked over Dermik's application months before, and it does not appear to require that the patient have HIV, only that they have bona fide diagnosed fat-wasting (lipodystrophy/ lipoatrophy). Well, I do have this, and quite seriously, but do not have HIV. Frechette told me that Dermik requires you to have HIV. I haven't gone back yet to peruse the Dermik forms, but surely, many of you know the answer here--is wasting AND HIV a requirement, or only wasting? > Frechette also said that, on account of my unfamiliar systemic infection and complex medical history, he couldn't responsibly inject Sculptra because he didn't know how my skin would react. Yet, he is injecting blithely into HIVers who have all manner of OI's, not all the same, and subject to idiopathic and unpredictable reactions, same as I am. > I have another recourse here in NYC, a plastic surgeon who is just beginning his experience with Sculptra. He is injecting it into healthy persons for purely cosmetic reasons, and will give it to any of his patients who want it who are not allergic to it. Does anybody know what is going on with Frechette? > Also, how much does a vial of Sculptra cost now? Frechette claimed it is $1000.00 per vial--is this correct? > thanks--Hugo >
Guest guest
Also, how much does a vial of Sculptra cost now? Frechette claimed it is $1000.00 per vial--is this correct? that seems pretty cost prohibitive to many HIV/AIDS men and women that are on disability. You might get intouch with the company directly and see what is going on,something does not seem right. FRANK
