Guest guest
I looked at the site and also on some of the you tube videos. Says it is ceramic coating. I went to the website and couldn't find the info. Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks! R. > I wanted to see if I could do a completely oil free pattie in my Orgreenic > pan. Guest guest
Doesn't have a taste to the pan? I just looked it up and can get 2 pans for $19.95 plus the shipping of $6.95 for each pan. I checked on ebay and they had one pan for about that price. Even that blue pan didn't look too bad, but this one looked a bit better. Has anyone else tried this Orgreenic pan, too? I keep trying to get one that works this way, but then my husband messes up the seasoning. Have to wipe them out with oil afterwards. He washes and then doesn't reseal them with oil. Do you treat this pan the same way? Mine are not ceramic though. They were good pans when I got them. However, they can have a taste if they are cooked too hot. I think they are Ultra pans. I bought a nice new wok of stainless and he tried to season it as he didn't want to wait until I could and he overheated it and burned the bottom. As far as I am concerned it is ruined.  I have a friend who sells titanium cookware. If I were younger I think I'd get them. They are quite expensive though. She even takes hers on vacation with her.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Friday, May 25, 2012 11:41 PM Subject: I used the Orgreenic pan for my patties  I wanted to see if I could do a completely oil free pattie in my Orgreenic pan. This pan is amazing. Nothing sticks. Here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJGPVnN84T4 And now I'll tell you my opinion of the difference between cooking a pattie with sunflower oil and using NO oil at all. My personal preference? Oil. It comes out crispy. However, the no oil method was fine too. Came out like a potato pancake without using any potatoes. So it's virtually a fat free item. This is good to know and the Orgreenic really is no-stick. I didn't believe it. No spray no nothing. When you first use it you have to season it. But after that. NOTHING. I make everything in this pan. lol M
Guest guest
Carolyn, Try boiling white vinegar in your wok and see if that will remove the burn. I have stainless steel pots and pans and never seasoned them.
