Guest guest Posted May 3, 2008 Report Share Posted May 3, 2008 Hi, Everyone.........I have always taken Gareth to church with me and, when he was younger, we always sat in the back so I could *excuse* ourselves if necessary. I would never allow him to bolt or throw a tantrum in church.....too controlling, I guess. Any indication of extreme behavior and we were out of the pews and heading for the door or just to the back of the church so he could stand for a while. I have never felt it was anyone else's job to watch or control him in church. As for study to receive First Communion, etc., he was with a very nice lady and there were only 2 other special ed kids.
