Carla with my son I sneak vegetables italian style eggplant parm, zucchini with a red sauce, he also loves spanikopta (greek) made with spinach, and he loves salad with french dressing. mushrooms on pizza, green peppers in meatloaf, also vegetable lo mein goes down easy. lol Viola **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. And I'm bad.....I throw in sugar along with carrots to sweeten it. I know the RD on the list may tell us it's not good to hide veggies and other foods, but I definitely did that with Maddie. I used to put it in the food processor and mash it to a pulp, and she never knew it was in there. Now, she eats very well, veggies and salad included. Donna P.S. Hey, thanks Jayne, for the 3 Sisters Plug a while back......;-) Off to cool off the 40 pounds of chicken I just cooked up. YES, I am NUTS!!!!!! **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. Guest guest
Thanks , I am always looking for ways to get sneaky and creative - this looks like an easy yet fantastic way to get some nutrients in. Let me know how the Mac N Chz goes over! Thanks, Jayne " L. Davenport " wrote: I know there were some emails going back and forth the past couple of days... We are not GF/CF and struggle because Logan eats very limited fruits and vegetables. He does, however, pumpkin (pie, pudding) and sweet potatoes (I bake them as French fries). Anyway, I was just on the Libby's pumpkin site (don't ask) and found this awesome section called +pumpkin. It has great tips for adding pumpkin to everyday foods. If they work, it will be AWESOME as one of Logan's new meds is making his constipation worse and pumpkin usually helps. I am trying it with Mac & Cheese for him tonight! www.verybestbaking.com/libbys

Guest guest
I just made spaghetti sauce (red gravy to you PHL people) and added some carrots grated, as usual, but then added acorn squash. Lumpiness isn't an issue for our family, but if it is, the sauce can be pureed. One is not aware of the squash and the carrots are added for sweetness instead of the baking soda my old friend NONNI taught me. Baking soda kills vitamins I believe remembering. The reason Bob adds so much to Elie's bread, began with trying to get veggies in - we used to add spinich, broccoli, carrots , and peas to his bread. Now he eats most any vegetable at dinner time so we have aimed to up protein and fiber. Jerry Seinfeld's wife (I think) has a cookbook in which she hides all kinds of veggies in other food since their kids won't eat them. Saw her on and Regis and then later on The VIew. Guest guest
OK, well tonight I put ½ cup pumpkin in Kraft Mac & Cheese instead of 4 Tbsp butter/margarine and I thought it was GROSS. But, he ate it and since it is one of the few veggies he will eat I will keep doing it. Pumpkin pudding is in the fridge for tomorrow, too. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ViPorier@... Guest guest
That book is " Deceptively Delicious. " I have it; Christmas gift along with a steamer. Still haven't tried it; too darn busy and not a big cook, but I hope to. Guest guest
The next one I am going to try is mixing pumpkin with his PB. Cuts down the fat, increases vitamins and fiber.
