Hello everybody. I do not often check the posting in this site so for

all I know, the question I have has probably been answered many times....

I've been HIV for 14 years (I had to think about this for a bit).

Anyway, I'm taking Kaletra, DDI and Viread. My viral load is less than

700... and T-Cell count is around 450....

My question is, how can I build muscle? I work out 3X/week and I get

nowhere. In fact, I measure my body about every six weeks and my

measurements have been virtually the same for 3 years. My last

measurement was a couple of days ago, and I measured smaller than a

month or so ago. This is so disheartening I want to give up, but I

fear what might happen if I stop working out.

I don't eat a lot of meat. I eat quite a bit of chicken (for some

reason I don't consider that meat), but not a lot of red meat. I try

to eat protein and take muscle building whey protein shakess shortly

after my workouts. The only thing I seem to get from these shakes is a

lot of indegestion. I really react to whey and no reaction to the

weights I use to build muscle. Can anybody tell me what to take and

what to do? I've always wanted a beautiful big firm butt, nice check,

great arms and a six-pack. What's the secret? Is is genetics more than

HIV? I don't have a out of shape body, per se; but it's not what I'd

think I should have considering the reasonable amount of exercise I do.

I don't think anyone can answer your question without actually seeing the way

you work

out, as they say no pain no gain, litterally you have to push yourself hard and

or you will

get no results other then keeping yourself in shape, and are you using the

proper form?

And there are of course a lots of of other questions/consideration, do you rest

enough?

how much and what do you eat? Do you use drugs and drink? How is your health?

Is your metabolism to high?

The one thing I can tell you from your post, is that 3 times a week is not

nearly enough, if

you really want to grow you need to work out each body part at least twice a

week and if

you have the time, 3 times a week will give you even better results.
