Guest guest
This is an email list. We send emails back and forth. It allows me, at least, to make more thoughtful comments. What are your questions? Please, feel free to ask any you like. I have HCV, diagnosed 1996, probably infected in 1956. Guest guest
There is a chat room, you have to go to the group site and then on the left hand side of the screen is a menu column. But we very seldom have chats. Because everybody has different schedules, different time zones and so forth. Anyone can open the chat room. If any one wants to host a chat feel free to do so. Only thing I ask is the information that you give in the chat room is supportive and educational. Other than that have fun. I usually go to the delphi forums to chat http://forums.delphiforums.com/hepc/messages all ya gotta do is register (free) then you will find all kinds of rooms for hepatitis c with open chat rooms with people in them . Your geno type is one of the easiest to treat and your treatment time is short compared to genotype 1's .And your doctor is correct about the drinking , alcohol consumption makes the hepatitis virus cells replicate at a much faster rate . So by drinking your causing damage by helping the virus attack your liver . As far as delaying treatment I think allot of factors should be thought of first , and you should have a biopsy to confirm stage and grade of damage to your liver . What ever you choose to do make sure its a decision you feel comfortable with , treatment is a personal decision . Good luck with what ever u decide to do , and remember we are always here for you no matter what. Your not alone in this ...........liz why can't I get in I have just been to the doctor for hep c and need to talkI am a rock, I am island...and a rock feels no pain, and a island never cries...- Simon
