Hi Sara,

I hope your dh will be ok. The ins co that I am dealing with is Geico. I have

Travelers. They have both been very polite. I have not hired a attorney and do

not wish to. The small amount that I will receive needs to go into my pocket. My

dh was involved in an accident about 7 yrs ago. He was hit coming home from

church. The woman had talked a senile elderly owner of the car to let her drive

his car. She had no license. The man had All State. They were very difficult

but we asked that they negotiate in a fair and equitable manner to avoid getting

an attorney involved. My dh had surgery on his knee. They did settle fairly.

torn meniscus (like a disc in the spine) so now he had to get " rooster

juice " injected into the knee to help give lubrication for the knee.

Finished PT but still using a cane . But he is walking about 2 miles a day

anyway. We had medical on OUR insurance as well, but they have so far paid

a grand total of $75 to our PCP - his bills are about $25,000 so far. We

got a laawyer because the person who caused the accident has ALL STATE and

they were ever so NASTY to us.

We have noever hired a lawyer before. And we had no intention of doing so

this time. But ALL STATE was so bullying we decided that our mental health

and the total costs of this injury were so great that we needed protection.

Bob's injury will only get worse. The doc is saying that within 5 years he

will need a total knee replacement. We are talking serious here.

Hi Sara,

You must have insurance but don't dare try to use it.
