19. We're having a party for him today. How is possible that he is 19?

Seems like just a short time ago he was flinging himself at furniture to

teach himself how to walk.

He is doing well. He had a consultation this week, with a doctor who

specializes in, well, *him* and the conclusion was that he is depressed.

Doesn't surprise me, as depression runs in the family -- and really, what's

another diagnosis when he's already got Down syndrome, autism, anxiety

disorder, aggressive disorder, OCD, high cholesterol, insomnia,

hypothyroidism, and allergies?

So they're re-rearranging his meds, taking him off the depakote (which is a

downer), decreasing the serequel (which is a sleep-inducer)downer), decreasi

adjusting the zoloft. He also takes nexium, claritin -- oh, who knows what

else. The poor kid (young man!) is on so many meds he's a walking pharmacy.

We're considering moving him back from Pathfinder Village earlier than

scheduled. He's due to graduate in 2010, but if he just can't handle it

here anymore, perhaps the time has come.

Happy birthday to my baby!

Happy Birthday Ian - glad to hear things are going better for you all CK. You

cracked me up with the " what's another diagnosis with... " Isn't that the truth!

Life is a good time isn't it?

Take care,

Doesn't surprise me, as depression runs in the family -- and really, what's

So they're re-rearranging his meds, taking him off the depakote (which is a

Happy birthday to my baby!
