She use to be happy all the time, and now she is anxious, mean, mad, crying all the time and picking herself to pieces. Please help... any suggestions? And how do you home school a child with learning disabilities? Our backwoods schools are really outdated even though they try the best the resources and teachers are just not available. I really want her to relax and enjoy learning and not have to worry about all the other stuff. I know she could learn better if she wasn't so distracted with all the other problems. I live in South Central PA.... would love to hear about anything related to home schooling. “ Hi Angie, I am in a bit of a rush so I will have to get more info. to you later. However, I have Home Schooled my son for a year and a half now very successfully. I certainly never thought I would be Home Schooling him. The ‘how will they learn to socialize’ is pure bunk…my son is very busy with other kids. This winter he took classes with 6 other Hs.’d kids which met once a week for an hour or so. I can assure you all the Hs. kids I’ve met (which is lots) are well adapted and pleasant to be around. A very different scene than I observe once a week when my son has Trombone lessons at the local Public School. My son,11, is so across the board academically (from 4th grade to college level) that it is best for him to be home where we can slowly and steady work on basic skills, and at the same time he can study History and his other interests at college level. Got to go, but I do have some specific recommendations…..Gail
