Yesterday one school was on lockdown due to a teacher being shot (that's like an everyday thing around here). This isn't the real world right? or is it? Sherry, As I write to you, there are helicopters over my house, and cars being diverted from Broad St. past my house to make way for the massive police motorcade for a fallen police officer. Chuck Cassidy was shot about a mile from my house, after walking into a Dunkin Donuts during a robbery. The guy who shot him is a 21 year old kid, who fled to Miami, was put on the FBI 10 most wanted list, and they caught him yesterday. Duff and I haggle with moving all the time, but we love city living, adore our house (if I could pick it up and take it with me, I would) and have amazing diverse neighbors who are all good people just trying to raise children. I know that this isn't the best living situation, and when we talk about where we'd live, we can never seem to pinpoint that place (it would have to be local, to be near our adult kids and families). Plus, sometimes the evil you know is better than the one you don't, ya know? Guest guest
PS they just announced 283 schools in Broward county are now on lockdown...I didn't even know we had that many schools. And they're all overcrowded. Anyone want to move down here? S
Guest guest
HAve you thought about where to move to? That always creates another problem with living, working, services. We opted out of cities because of all the reasons that you listed. Our last big city was Norfolk, VA. But we lived near Philly and near HArrisburg in PA. We live an hour or so north of Atlanta now. The thing is that in big cities there are more services and service proiders. Everything is trade off. There are medications to help with PMS - maybe one of them would help . OR what about some of the really low does B/c pills which ease the hormonal struggle?? I am finding (out of deperation ) that an off label use for Benedryl for ELie is to calm him down!! Much better than all the antipsychotics, amphetamines, etc. > > > > > We've gotta get out of South Florida...Do things like this happen everyday > where any of you live? We've tried just about everything for PMS and BC pills sent her up the wall...she tried to rip her nipples off and they were all bloody and well, you get the picture. I just bought some benedryl and may give it a try again for her...it was actually suggested on certain sites for the eps stuff. Many years ago she reacted to it like it was speed, but maybe she's changed. Oh Lord, I need sleeeeeeeep. Thanks for the suggestions and you're right; the big city has the services but also the crime. Sherry
Guest guest
OUr big dramas are a car stopped for erratic driving - the passenger was make meth in the back seat and the driver wanted some!!! Or how about this police report " someone came on my property and stole something, but I don't know what " . or wedding invitations - immediate family only and all the people sit in the moddle because they are related to both sides??? Benedryl has so many uses that are not on the label, but if a person can handle it, my favorite is the calming nauture and ofcurse the sleeping effect. > > > > > <<There are medications to help with PMS - maybe one of them would help > . We get alot of these too...someone goes right back into the bank he just robbed to cash a check etc. definitely gonna give that benedryl another try...dh just reminded me after I said''well WE decided to put her on the risperdal " that we actually didn't. We begged them for something to give her as needed when she was totally out of control and they insisted on risperdal. Well I hope he can fix it now as I really don't like looking at these spastic movements all day. Scary. Sherry

I usually start with a quarter dose and work my way up over a succession of doses. It revs up my " normal " children on a full dose. Guest guest
I too wanted to say - start with 12.5 mg. ( half a tablet or 1tsp of liquid.) > <<<<<<<We've tried just about everything for PMS and BC pills sent her > up > the wall...she tried to rip her nipples off and they were all bloody and > well, > you get the picture.
