I've been thinking what new's resolutions I wanted to make and so far here

is my list. :-)

1. Stop wasting so much energy on whining and start focusing more energy on

finding solutions and changes.

2. Remember to let Trisha be who she is and to enjoy her just for who she

is.

3. Bask in the accomplishments she makes however small or large they may be.

4. To continue educating myself so that I may be a better advocate for

Trisha.

5. To not let the disabilities take over our lives but to co-exist with

them.

6. In all things that I do for Trisha to make sure they are what is best

for her and not just what may be what I want.

7. To remember there is more to life than therapies and IEP's and to

always remember that she is not broken or in need of being fixed but she is in

need of loving and care and being given opportunities to grow in her own unique

way and most of all being accepted just as she is unconditionally.

8. remember to take time to just be together even if it means missing a day

from school or a therapy session or eating something fun and tasty just

because it puts a smile on her face. :-)

9. To remember how much time I take away from her when I spend all my time

researching or creating and to remember that while I need to do that I also

need to balance it with quality and quantity time spent with her.

10. To never forget that even though she may not always be able to express

herself to take the time to listen because I never know what I might miss

because I'm in too much of a hurry or too busy doing something and might just

miss it when she does express herself.

11. To remember there is life outside of our small circle and to learn

that I can co-exist in both worlds.

12. To smile more and enjoy life more.

13. To take better care of myself so I can care for my family.

14. Always keep the faith.
