Guest guest Posted December 13, 2007 Report Share Posted December 13, 2007 I have a 14 yr, old with DS ()who has recently been diagnosed w,ADHD. I am wondering what are the signs/symptoms of autistic tendancies/autism? He is Very smart but is having alot of problems in school, I am getting negative reports everyday from school. Not able to stay on Task more than 10 min. Alot of self stimulation, self talking, distracting to other students, when home he always spins a hanger, takes glasses off to spin them, asks himself questions and answers them, Noises always coming from his mouth, rasberry sounds, frog noises, teacher reports that he is very disruptive, I am just wondering if there is more going on. I am so discouraged!! Please help, or advice would sure be appriciated. I did start him on Attend,DMAE, as I am not keen on ADHD meds.... Thanks for ANY advice....
