Guest guest
Lori, I'm glad you showed some interest in trying this. ANY food can be a possible life threatening allergen to our system (peanuts, dairy, etc.) but we still try them anyhow. I have had discussions with other medical professionals and with Aloe Life Co. personnel about this issue, and they suggest approaching as any new food that is introduced to a baby, try a small amount, don't intro any other new foods for 3 days, and watch for reaction...we all did this when we intro. peaches to our babies, etc. An Aloe allergy is rare but possible. The Aloe Life company suggests waiting until around 1 yr old to introduce, but I have worked with families who have started a trial of Aloe at 8-9 mos. to his lips only...any food can be dangerous on a rare occasion. In my work as a feeding therapist I've seen a child go to ER after touching a pc of cheese to his lips only... Pleasse check out Aloe Life web site www.
