<<Are there any signs of vascular disease eg scaly

skin around the ankle?>>

My husband has had vascular problems for years and yes the above is

absolutely symptomatic of that. His medical problems alone have kept two

doctors in clover! The afflicted vein was eventually cut out and now

there is a huge dent in his leg. He is still vastly overweight and will

sleep throughout the day if left to his own devices. After my last bout

of research, I tend to think he's an undetected thyroid case. He cannot

lose weight despite all efforts. I am in the process of putting him on a

high iodine and selenium diet. I hope that may work. All he has energy

for is to press the button on the TV remote control.

Margaret, Keep looking at the thyroid because I think that may be key

in your case. If I can dig it up, I have a good study on how low free T3

is directly related to clogging of the arteries and a few other vascular

problems.
