Liz art poster from a Buddy Walk Hi Liz, sent more than 60 paintings to fundraisers and Buddy Walks this year. Kidder-Band of Angels Foundation, NDSS and a loyal customer from Georgia helped him to buy art supplies so he could honor the requests. The last painting at http://users.psln.com/sharing//Buddywalks.html sold for $2000 at a charity auction in May so we know that his donations raised thousands of dollars to support programs for people with DS and their families. The children's book he wrote and illustrated this year is at the publishers. The head librarian looked at the original manuscript and commented at the happiness of the book. She would like it to be used as a textbook in elementary schools as an introduction to art. Wow! That would be a great way to raise DS Awareness! is working on portrait commissions now and notecard designs. He has run out of some colors of paint completely. He needs to buy paint, brushes, frames and canvas. We are trying to schedule some studio visits this week, trying to sell some paintings and raise some money. If he can get some orders for cards and art posters, that will be a big help. Business has been very slow Hope you enjoy the poster!
